M5 EGM M&T limits
The platform has all the information required by the player and the casino to operate in normal scenarios, such as playing games, viewing the account balance, the balance used on the machine, player level, ordering drinks, or making reservations for casino amenities.

Overview
M5 is a player-facing casino platform with years of operational logic, account information, machine activity, and service workflows. The challenge was to introduce Responsible Gaming requirements into this legacy environment without making the experience feel intimidating, fragmented, or disconnected from the existing product.
The opportunity is to build something better
Info tracking
Define and compliance with the limits the user stablished
Gov. Compliance
Follow the rules imposed by the government to keep casinos as a safe place.
The Challenge
The challenge was not only to add new screens, but to integrate a compliance-sensitive flow into a legacy product with existing navigation patterns, API dependencies, and government validation requirements. The design needed to make limits, alerts, and acknowledgements clear enough for players, while giving the business confidence that the experience could meet regulatory expectations.
Legacy product carried outdated methods, making difficult the build of the feature.
Creating new UI, and discuss with Architecture team to modernize the legacy API´s to gather information and make simple calls to the server.
Design decisions
The solution focused on making operational states visible, reducing repeated checks, helping teams identify what required action before execution, map and update the navigation patterns
User Path
Design the flow and the skeleton of the components, with the interactions and triggers for the system.

Data collection and compliance
With the data layer already prepared, the addition of the read only screens avoid the creation of a security key, and provide the user with the information requested. This awarded the company the certification or Responsible Gaming

Flags for acknowledgement.
for the legal compliance, the player must recognize that the entity provided alerts to the user, to letting him known that only if they accept they can exceed the time they assign

Process
Build a compliance process, creating alerts, modifying how products talk to each other and rebuilding the blue prints of the product
Discover phase
Converting the Old navigation from text in to a readable interaction flow, to help the product owner and the tech lead to understand what we need to translate to the new UI

Workflow Building
Mapping the whole system in order to traceback the dependencies, building a database of triggers, screens and interactions, that help the project to have a documentation with visual paths and not only command lines.

Validation & Iteration
While the UI was being built, a parallel product team was validating the API calls and real-time data updates required to support the new compliance flow. My work focused on refining the information architecture, user paths, alerts, and acknowledgement states so the experience could be reviewed by internal stakeholders and aligned with government requirements. The flow was approved as part of the Responsible Gaming validation process, helping the team accelerate delivery while adapting to updated rules and limits.

Impact
The product was compliant with the government requirements, the casino owners were satisfied with the product and the team was awarded for the delivery speed and consistency.
The Responsible Gaming flow helped the product meet compliance requirements, improved client confidence, and created a feature foundation that could be reused for future regulated markets.
